We believe all of our staff and guests alike have a part to play in protecting our environment and in achieving this goal.

On average each person produces around 1 kilogram of waste each day, mainly derived from liquid and paper products and these are bio degradable which have a very good secondary use.

  • We have outsourced our laundry thus using fewer detergents.
  • We have reduced table linen by using composite table tops.
  • We use non-toxic cleaning products.
  • We use Bio Diesel.
  • We have installed mufflers to minimize noise pollution.
  • We use desalinated water.
  • We use bio degradable rubbish bags.
  • We buy in bulk thus avoiding individual wrappers.
  • We have installed extra electricity and water meters.  
  • We use compact long life low energy lighting.
  • We have sea water pools.
  • We have assisted sea water air condition. 
  • We have waste efficient aerator taps and showers.
  • We operate waste saving toilet flushing.
  • We operate with voluntary waste saving towel changing policies.
  • We have lagged hot and cold water pipes.
  • We have insulted roof voids.
  • We have double glazed tinted windows.
  • We have numerous secondary water encashment areas.
  • We recycle all materials, sheets to pillow cases, bath towels to hand towels, small materials to rags etcetera.
  • We have reduced the quantity of plastic water bottles.
  • We have Wi Fi Internet for carbon free communications.
  • We have a chemical free garden. 
  • We recycle used papers for note pads and cleaning.
  • We have low energy policies in the use of a/c and fridges. 
  • We donate used items to charities.
  • We recycle all old batteries and dispense of them correctly.
  • We return all waste oil for recycling.
  • We are changing from carpets to tiles.
  • We train our staff to appreciate what waste is and have a better awareness in environmental practices.
  • We use bulk cleaning product dispensers.
  • We use recycled toner cartridges.
  • We are reducing bleach detergents.
  • We are reducing corrosive products.
  • We are using white goods.
  • We are using light sensors to reduce the use of electricity.
  • We are using presence sensors in areas with minimum use.
  • We have power factor correctors installed.
  • We purchase bulk supplies to re-useable containers
  • We have installed of energy saving devices in all guest rooms as well as plant rooms.
  • We recycle all wood products.
  • We sort and recycle all metals.
  • We recycle our water for toilet flushing and gardens

A world to look after maybe too much for us to handle but we can all make a difference by helping in our own way.
